Bolzark was born in a dragonborn colony ruled by the strict utopian dictates of a bronze dragon, Kilkor. This colony is located on a rocky island that appears in the middle of the ocean, far from any contact with the rest of the world. Bolzark was yet to be born when Kilkor demanded that the colony provide him with a child capable of manipulating the plot worthy of his lineage who could stand as a bulwark for the entire colony. Kilkor was revered as a god and many feared his anger would arise if such an event did not occur, however no child was ever born a sorcerer.
Thus it was that Algazel, Bolzark's father, performing a botched ritual showed to him by a strange figure who appeared in his house one night, tied his son to an otherworldly entity with the promise that this would grant him the powers that Kilkor so craved, Soon after Algazel disappeared from the colony. Bolzark, now a prodigy of his people, wants to clarify what happened.
